About

Education and Training
I earned my medical degree from the NYU School of Medicine and completed residency training in Adult Psychiatry at NYU and Bellevue Hospital, where I was honored with a teaching award at graduation. I then completed fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital through Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medicine, where I served as Chief Resident.
Following fellowship, I spent seven years on the faculty at Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where I provided outpatient psychiatric care to children and adolescents while teaching and supervising psychiatry residents and child and adolescent psychiatry fellows.
Approach
My practice is built on the belief that thoughtful psychiatric care begins with understanding the whole person, not simply treating symptoms. Biology, personality, developmental history, relationships, and life experiences all provide important context for individualized care.
My approach is integrative and evidence-based. My training includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic psychotherapy. Depending on each person's needs, treatment may include psychotherapy, medication, attention to sleep and physical health, or collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
I approach every patient through a developmental lens. Development, early experiences, family relationships, and life transitions can help explain current challenges across the lifespan.
Today, my work is devoted exclusively to private practice.
